Three new “STAR TREK” movie clips

This week, three new short clips (or scenes) from the new “Star Trek” movie showed up online.  These are much more than new trailer spots.  In these we actually are starting to get a real feel for the movie, the actors, and the characters they are playing.  I’m again even more excited to see the movie (only one month away now).  Watch them all below but keep in mind these might contain little spoilers for the movie – but nothing major from what I can tell so far.  Watch and enjoy them all!

Star Trek coverage on Phreadz.com

A newer social multimedia network called Phreadz.com has a great Star Trek section up now.  You can see all kinds of clips, links, phots and much more.  There is quite a bit of content and a lot at the big movie premiere in Sydney that just happened on April 7th.  Some of this material is not anywhere else on the web that I know of.  Lots of cool little interview spots with questions for JJ Abrams and some of the cast members from the film.  So go over to  http://startrek.phreadz.com and check out all the cool fun!

More Movie Web Content!

The official web site for the new Star Trek movie has put up some great new content.  They have panoramic views of the new Enterprise bridge (one with Red Alert going).  There are also some views of some corridors as well as several crew dossiers that can be downloaded as wallpapers.  This movie tie-in web site is one of the best and most extensive I have ever seen donw for a film.  It just shows how much thought and care has gone into this production and how much we Trek geeks love the internet!  Click HERE to see the images below in much larger sizes & much more!

“Star Track – Conductivity” (fan film)

The latest fan film from our friends over at Golden Media Studios has been released.  This one is about an hour long and a lot of fun.  These guys have a lot of fun with their films and have a great style and sense of humor.  And they have really got some cool new special effects that make the videos a lot of fun to watch.  Click on the link to check it out at their web site and view the trailer below.

New Trek Movie TV Spot

Earlier this week, another new 30 second TV spot showed up for the new Trek film.  This one has a few new scenes, some cool music, and the words saying to ‘forget everything you know,…’  Which I’m guessing is a not too subtle way saying this is all kind of a brand new Trek.  I still say – “Bring it on!”  See it below….

Sydney gets first Trek look!

The Sydney Opera House will get the first showing of the new JJ Abrams “Star Trek” movie about a month before it’s full worldwide premiere.  The elegant Australian Opera House will show the film on April 7th, with 1600 invited guests and celebrities.  The April 7th premiere of Star Trek marks only the third occasion that a film has debuted at Sydney Opera House and the first time a film has premiered in the Concert Hall at the acclaimed venue.  Wish I had a ticket because it would be a great excuse to visit down under, for the first time!

Esurance’s Biggest Trekkie Results

Well I didn’t win the Biggest Trekkie video contest (nor did my buddy Rick Moyer) but we did make it into their top finalist videos.  Esurance has put the top videos up on their new Youtube channel HERE.  And you can view the winning video (“Trekitis” – which was pretty cool) and all the rest over on their main site HERE.  Congrats to the winner and to everyone that entered this fun contest!

Brand New “STAR TREK” trailer

In what might be the final, full length trailer for the upcoming “STAR TREK” movie – and now here it is folks!  This is attached to “Watchmen” and should be able to be seen in theaters with that cool movie this coming weekend.  I didn’t think I could get even more excited by another trailer, but this one set my ‘Trekkie Senses’ tingling.  It just really is well woven together and the music is really, really cool, epic and adds so much to it.  May 8, 2009 can’t come fast enough for me now!
