Ultimate “Star Trek” movie trailer!

Someone has put together the ultimate “Star Trek” movie trailer combining all twelve films into one mega-trailer.  This isn’t a simple stringing together of all the trailers – oh no.  They have taken elements from all the films and blended them together into one great look at this enduring franchise.  It’s simply fantastic.  Take a look and enjoy!

Home Made TOS Bridge Console

Way, way back in the mid 1970’s a young “Star Trek” fan put together a bridge console from his favorite TV show.  Yes, that fan was me (Rico) and here is an image of that effort and a long-lost B&W video I found showing it in action.  The console was a labor of love for me and I learned a lot about carpentry and electronics building this replica.  I also learned how many Christmas lights I could steal away from my parents in order to wire up some new console display.  I wish I had more to show for this and this console is long gone now, but it’s memory lives on.  So, now I can share a little of this with all of you.  Hope you enjoy this blast from my distant past.  Man, those were the days!

TNG season 4 on Blu-Ray trailer

Here is the hidef version of the trailer for the season 4 Blu-Ray set for TNG.  Some classic and fantastic episodes for this season and lots of great behind the scenes extras too.  They have really been doing a great job with these sets and I can’t wait to get this one (out on July 30th).  So, watch the trailer and then go preorder your season four set today at the link HERE.

Star Trek Continues with “Pilgrim of Eternity”

The first episode from the fan production series called “Star Trek Continues” is now up for your viewing pleasure.  This episode marks the return of Michael Forrest as Apollo from TOS and a few other great guest stars as well as a very solid cast in these iconic roles.  I think this series is off to a great start and can’t wait to see what more they have in store for us in the future.  Check out the first episode below.  I know if you are a classic Trek fan you will especially enjoy it.

“Star Trek Into Darkness” – good start

Now that “Star Trek Into Darkness” has been out for over a week we can look at some of the box office results and reviews.  Overall the movie has been doing well in both North America and overseas.  The box office has been solid and most people seem to think (myself included) that this is a great and very solid Trek film.  The film critics have been very favorable to the film and Entertainment Weekly rated this latest film in the franchise a solid grade of an ‘A.’  So grab a friend who hasn’t seen the movie yet and treat them to a ticket and some popcorn and go see this fun ride again.  I’m going today once more with my younger son who hasn’t seen the film yet (even my wife enjoyed the movie).  Enjoy “Into Darkness” once again!

JJ Abrams on “Star Trek Into Darkness”

As we countdown the last few days until the movie come out here in the US, we have a short little spot talking to JJ Abrams about “Star Trek Into Darkness.”  I really love what JJ has done with “Star Trek” so far and I think he gets what will entertain an audience as well as what makes these characters tick.  Check out his video spot below along with a couple other recent TV spots for the film – now coming out on May 16th in North America!

Several TV spots for “Into Darkness”

Many new commercial TV spots have been showing up for “Star Trek Into Darkness” as we get closer to the release date.  Lots of cool stuff in these videos that give us a taste of what we can expect from the film.  Here’s a sampling of some of the recent releases to promote this movie.

Official Clips for “Star Trek Into Darkness”

A couple of cool, clips have been released for this upcoming movie from Paramount.  The first clip was seen as part of the IMAX 9 minute preview that we got months ago showing the crew of the Enterprise trying to save Mr. Spock during a critical mission.  The other clip is part of an awesome chase scene as our heroes try to escape some pursuing Klingon ships.  Not long to go now until we can see these clips in the finished film.
