This weekend on the podcast I cover the Enterprise episode, “The Aenar” and some other Trek and Sci-Fi entertainment topics. I also have a pretty big announcement regarding my job status – and it’s good news too! But first, I cover the usual range of news and geeky stuff. It seems the next Trek movie has an unofficial release date of June 29, 2012. This isn’t set in stone, but it seems like a very likely time to release the next film. So, only about 2.5 years to go right now! I’m still enjoying “Dollhouse” and really looking forward to the return of “Chuck” tonight. Also, Scott Bakula will be guesting this season on “Chuck” again. Cool stuff! Most shows are returning this coming week and it looks like quite a bit of cool, new geeky TV coming our way along with some cool movies releasing in January. Fun times!
Then it’s on to covering the Trek episode for this weekend, “The Aenar.” One of the best parts of this episode is we get to finally see the homeworld of the Andorians. We also of course meet the other species living there, the Aenar. This blind, telepathic off-shoot of the main Andorians is very cool and figures into this episode highly. I cover the episode doing a full commentary while watching the show with all of you listening too. Some very cool moments and I especially enjoy Jeffrey Combs as Shran in this episode. The Andorians have always been a favorite of mine and this episode allows us to learn quite a bit more about this cool founding member of the Federation. Enjoy the episode coverage.
I wrap up the podcast with a quick review of one of the recent Trek Hallmark ornaments. It’s the Phaser I as seen in the original “Star Trek.” It’s a very cool piece and I think about a 1:1 replica. It has a firing sight, phaser sound and light, along with various sound clips from TOS. Very cool and I was thrilled to get it from my family for Christmas. See if you can find one maybe online places like eBay still. That about wraps up the show for this time out. Next weekend I will be covering the first LOTR film, “The Fellowship of the Ring.” Hopefully I will still be able to get this out on Sunday in between driving hundreds of miles home for the weekend. Send in your comments to the usual email for this special show. That’s all for this week gang, I’ll talk to you next week and let you know how my new job is going. Take care and wish me luck!

The Aenar is one of my favoritesToo.the storytelling is solid. And Manny Cotto continues his repairing the serie. It was good to see. A gentler side of Shran, and he was starting to handle and accept his fiankces death. The Andorian homeworld was a lot to understand well with 2 races coexisting. Love the story one of nterprises finest works. The best of luck on your new job. Gods blessings for your wife. And son.
