In some of the most surprising geek news ever, George Lucas has sold off Lucasfilm & the Star Wars franchise to Disney. And the even bigger news is we are going to be getting a brand new trilogy of “Star Wars” films starting with episode 7 in 2015! This is huge! Many, many years ago in the dawn of “Star Wars” George Lucas talked a little about an Episode 7, 8, and 9 but in more recent times he said he wouldn’t make any more movies – and actually he isn’t – Disney and others are taking the job over.
