This weekend I did a Live podcast via Ustream to celebrate 8 years of doing the Treks in Sci-Fi podcast. I talked a little at the start about doing the cast each week and I alos put out the annual call for donations to the podcast since the annual hosting fees are due soon. Go HERE to donate what you can and it will be very appreciated. Then I cover some of the fun summer movies we all enjoyed like “Into Darkness”, “Man of Steel” and others. I also talk some about some cool, new upcoming TV shows this fall like “Marvel Agents of Shield” and “The Tomorrow People.” Both look like fun shows. I also toss in a couple contests during the live event – congrats to the winners of those contests. Good job guys! and I did a bit of crazy dancing (Rico-style) at the end of the show. It was a fun time! I want to thank those that dropped by to watch and chat via Ustream and also thanks to everyone that has tuned in and listened to the cast each week over the time TSF has been on the air. You guys all rock! Thanks everyone!!
P.S. If you missed the live streaming of this, you are in luck! Go HERE on Ustream to watch it.

I so agree with you that the next movie should involve the mirror universe! I prefer that to “something original”. It could easily avoid doing it exactly like the series episode and could be action packed and character driven at the same time. I’m glad to not be the only one who feels this way. The mirror universe story line is my favorite in Star Trek. In case you’re not familiar with it, there is a ST:TNG mirror universe book. It’s called “Dark Mirror” by Diane Duane and wa published in 1993.
