Microsoft’s series of Halo combat games have become one of the most successful franchises in human history with over $6B dollars in sales and 81+ million units delivered since release of the first game in 2001.  The music of Halo reintroduced an interest in Chant Music and helped to provide a legitimacy of video game music as its own respected genre in the entertainment industry.  Featured in this podcast by Vartok are music tracks from 12 different Halo games along with game background material.

What’s Happening Everybody! This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.  I’m back this week with another classic science fiction movie.  Today’s movie is a big-bug classic.  It’s Tarantula! from 1955.  It stars John Agar, Mara Corday and Leo G. Carroll.  It’s fun movie and I hope you all enjoy it!  Warning!  If you don’t like spiders, this movie ain’t for you. I’ll be back soon with another classic science fiction movie. Well, after over two years I finally got The COVID. Not too bad yet but very glad I’m vaccinated! I try to power on through and do a podcast on recent things I’m watching between blowing my nose as well as talk comics too. We also have another music segment by Vartok as well. This week it’s another grab bag show where I cover the latest in geek entertainment and news. I talk about what I’ve been watching the last few weeks. I cover my thoughts on “The Batman” and what I think of this latest Bat-film (very slight spoilers). I also talk about the new Netflix film, “The Adam Project” with Ryan Reynolds. And I talk about the recent trailers for the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series and also “Strange New Worlds.” So much nerd content lately it’s harder and harder to keep up with it all. This week I’m covering the amazing Netflix version of “Lost in Space.” First up, I talk a bit about the new “Uncharted” movie and other things I’ve been watching on TV as well. Then it’s on to the main topic.

As someone who grew up on reruns of original “Star Trek” and original “Lost in Space” I certainly was excited when Netflix announced they were doing a new series. Now, after three seasons I can firmly say this show is great! Just loved it! I talk about the series premise, the cast, the look and effects and more. Can’t say enough about how great this show is. If you haven’t watched it yet, I hope my podcast will help you decide. Some very slight spoilers as I discuss the show but nothing major.
