This week Mark is back in the center seat with a look at the classic film, “Escape from New York.” Here are some words from Mark on this great movie.

Hello Everybody!
This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest and I’m back this week with another  classic science fiction movie.  This week’s movie is a cult classic from 1981.  It’s John Carpenter’s “Escape From New York.”  I remember seeing this at the theater.  It’s a great movie!  I hope all enjoy the podcast.  I’ll be back soon with another classic science fiction movie.
Until then…
Everyone took care and stay healthy!
This is M-5 signing off…

Thanks again Mark for another cool podcast. I’ll be here next week with a look at Bond, James Bond as we finally get to see the final Daniel Craig Bond movie opening later this week here in the US. Until next time take care and enjoy your week.

Podcast # 834 “DISCO” Episode 4 – 2109.26

This week is a more classic style show. I start off talking about several topics, recent projects and some random internet stuff too. I also announce the contest winner and read those entries. Then it’s on to the commentary.

I do a full audio commentary on the 4th episode of DISCO called: “The Butcher’s Knife Cares not for the Lamb’s Cry.” This is a cool episode and sets the stage for much of the rest of season 1. I really enjoyed watching this one again and talking about it too.

Next week will be a guest cast or a repeat show. Until next time, enjoy your week ahead and stay well and safe.

Podcast # 833 – “Continuum” and Time Travel – 2109.19

This week Jen from the Anomaly Podcast joins me to talk about a show we both enjoyed and also time travel too. We start the podcast discussing the SyFy show, “Continuum” and give some background and thoughts on that cool series. Then we move into a bigger discussion on time travel in various movies, TV, books and more. Really a fun chat and I was glad we could finally get together to do a new podcast for everyone.

Next weekend I’ll be back with another commentary show on another DISCO season 1 episode. Until next time take care and be safe.

Vidcast # 832 – “16th Anniversary Show” – 2109.05

Did kind of wonky, ad-hoc 16th Anniversary show via Twitch earlier today. Had a few technical issues (that will teach me to not test more first), but it was all still fun! I put it together and posted up on Vimeo. Watch it below and I’ll be back soon with more fun content!

Podcast # 831 “Not of this Earth” – 2108.29

This week Mark is back guest hosting another classic Sci-Fi film from 1957 called “Not of this Earth.” This one is from the master of the “B” movie Roger Corman. Mark did this even with power troubles at his home. What a trooper! Some words from the man himself.

Hello Everybody! This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.  I’m back this week with another classic science fiction movie.  This week movie is by the King of the B-Movies Roger Corman.  It’s “Not of This Earth,” starring Paul Birch, Beverly Garland and Morgan Jones.  This is a classic vampire from outer space movie.  This movie is only 67 minutes.  So don’t blink, you may miss something!    I hope you enjoy it. I’ll be back with another classic science fiction movie… Until then everyone take care and stay healthy! This is M-5 signing off.

Thanks again Mark for another cool show! Next weekend I’ll be doing my annual LIVE show via Twitch for my 16th Anniversary of the “Treks in Sci-Fi” podcast. Podcast # 830 “The Wild Wild West” – 2108.22

This week I cover the classic 1960’s era TV series called “The Wild Wild West.” First, I talk about the recent TV and movies I’ve been watching and my ongoing efforts to set up my new arcade room/space in the Rico Cave.

I’ve talked about “The Wild Wild West” before but this week I spend most of the podcast talking about this gadget filled fun spy western that ran for 4 seasons on CBS. Starring Robert Conrad and Ross Martin I grew up watching reruns of this terrific show. I hope you enjoy hearing the clips and music I play and my comments and background on the series.

Next week will be a guest cast and in two weeks I’ll be back with my LIVE, 16th Anniversary podcast over Labor Day weekend. Until next time take care, get vaccinated and stay well.

Podcast # 829 – “Blade Runner” Repeat – 2108.15

Here’s a repeat podcast from about ten years ago (original podcast was in 2011 on show #335). This repeat is about the first “Blade Runner” movie. There are extra goodies from back then too in this show. Hope you enjoy this blast from the past this week.

Next weekend I’m going to do a podcast on “The Wild Wild West” series from the 1960’s era. That will be a lot of fun! Until next time take care, get vaccinated and enjoy your week.

Podcast # 828 – “Lower Decks” – 2108.08

This week I look back on season one of “Star Trek: Lower Decks” as we get ready for season two later this week. I start off the podcast giving a spoiler free review of two recent films: “Jungle Cruise” and “The Suicide Squad.” You might be surprised by what I have to say about one of these movies. Then I discuss and play some clips from season one of “Lower Decks.” It’s a very fun show and has a lot in it to appeal to the Trek fan. Check it out if you haven’t had chance yet.

Next week will be a repeat show or guest. Take care, get vaccinated if you haven’t and enjoy your week.
