Podcast # 771 – “Rick and Morty” – 2005.03

This week I take a look at the hilarious TV show, “Rick and Morty.” Of course, I first talk about what I’ve been doing to stay occupied given the still current lock down situation. Still building my Megabloks Enterprise and other things. Lots of fun!

“Rick & Morty” is a great show and I’ve enjoyed it for years. It’s fairly adult and raunchy at times but very, very funny too. Mad scientist Rick and his grandson Morty going on a ton of crazy adventures with mainly a Sci-Fi type of bent to them. I plays some clips and give some background on the series. Hope this intrigues you if you’ve never watched it.

Next week will probably be a guest cast. So, until next time take care and stay safe.

Podcast # 770 – Patreon Chat – 2004.26

Like I did a few months ago, this week is a fun Skype chat with some of the TSF Patreon supporters. We talked about how each of us is handling in our own geeky way being on lock down for weeks due to the virus situation. I was joined this time by Amber, Quinn, Doug, Rick Peete & Rick Moyer. We talk a little about “Star Trek: Picard” too so there are some slight spoilers for that series. It was a good chat and I really enjoyed connecting with everyone and learning how things are going where they live.

Next week I’m planning to talk “Rick & Morty” – which I love. Until next time, take care and stay safe!

Podcast # 769 – Live Action Anime Films – 2004.19

This week I talk some about a couple recent live action anime films. I first talk about what I’ve been watching and doing during this period of semi-isolation. I hope everyone listening is staying healthy and safe too.

The main topic this week is a look at the “Ghost in the Shell” live action film from 2017 and also the “Alita: Battle Angel” film from 2019. I enjoyed both these movies and I give some background about their manga roots and other previous animated films too.

I wrap up the podcast with a music segment from Vartok featuring some music from “Stargate: Atlantis.” I hope enjoyed this week’s podcast. Next week will most like be a Skype chat with TSF PATREON supporters. Until next time, stay safe and well my friends.

Podcast # 768 – Music of Barry Gray – 2004.12

Guest host Mark is back this week with a look at the music of Barry Gray. Here are some words from the man himself on his latest show.

Happy Easter Everyone!
I hope you are all doing well!
This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.  I’m back this week with a podcast on musician and composer Barry Gray.  If you have seen any of the Gerry Anderson’s Supermarionation or live action shows, you’ve heard his music.  It’s a fun trip down memory lane.  I hope you all enjoy it!
I’ll be back soon with another classic science fiction movie.
Until then…
Everyone take care and stay healthy!
This is M-5 signing off!

Big thanks to Mark for this fun show. I’ll be back next week with my show on some anime like “Alita” and “Ghost in the Shell.” Until then, take care and stay safe all!

Podcast # 767 – The Grab Bag Show – 2004.05

This week on the podcast I talk about a variety of things. A bit related to that nasty global virus thing, which is hard not to talk about currently. I also try to bring up some ideas and things I’m doing while basically on house lock-down and not going much of anywhere. I also have some new music segments from Vartok this week and thank him for that. This isn’t an easy time, but if we all stay smart and stay safe we can do this.

Next week will probably be a guest cast, but it might just be me again so who knows. Continue to be as careful as you can out there – if you have to go out. Thanks always for listening and be safe and be well.

Podcast # 766 – Picard Season 1: Skype Chat – 2003.29

This week for the podcast it’s all about season one of “Star Trek: Picard.” I got on Skype earlier today with Jen, Angela & Chris to discuss what we all thought about season one of this latest “Star Trek” TV series. I had a great time talking to my friends about this and not about that other thing going on in the world right now – for a change. There are spoilers in this show of course, so you have been warned. I hope you enjoy listening and this brightens your day a bit. Big thanks to Jen & Angela from the “Anomaly Podcast” and Chris from the “Star Wars Stacks Podcast” for joining me this week. Always fun talking to all of you!

I’m still working out the April podcast schedule, but tune in next week for a new show. Until then, take care and stay safe out there.

Podcast # 765 – Jedi Jeff Collects – 2003.22

Guest host Jedi Jeff this week talks about a few topics and mainly on some collectibles. I always enjoy Jeff’s guest spots as I’m a big collector too. He covers some new Lego sets, an upcoming Orville ship from Eaglemoss and a cool Trek train set. I’ll list some links below to learn more.

Thanks to Jeff for another cool guest show.

Next week my plan is to do a group Skype Chat covering the first season of “Star Trek: Picard.” For now, please all stay safe and know that things will eventually get back to normal. Stay home as much as you can. Enjoy podcasts, and try to relax. Take care and enjoy your week.

Podcast # 764 – Zombieland – 2003.15

This week on the podcast I decided to cover zombie films and TV shows due to this current corona virus thing that has many people all worked up. So, while people are out shopping and trying to find rolls of TP I talk about how the world has ended in movies and TV for a long time now due to zombies. I play some clips and cover some other things too on this week’s fun show. I hope all of you are staying safe, healthy and not giving into the hysteria. So sit back and enjoy some social distancing podcast entertainment to help take your mind off stuff – at least for a short time.

Next week Jedi Jeff will be here with a guest cast. Until next time take care and relax.
