Podcast # 778 – Mark’s Top Ten 50’s SF Films – 2006.28

This week my main man and regular guest host Mark is back with a round up of his top 10 1950’s era Sci-Fi films. Here are some words from Mark about his latest guest cast.

Hello Everybody!

This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.  I’m back this week with a countdown of my favorite 1950s Science Fiction Movies.  My list includes movies featuring flying saucers, giant ants and even a plant based alien.  These movies are fun to watch and bring back memories of  Saturday creature features.  I hope you all enjoy it! I’ll be back soon with another classic science fiction movie. Until then, take care of yourselves and stay healthy!

Big thanks to Mark for another great guest spot. Next week I will be back and plan to cover some cult classic films: “Scott Pilgrim vs the World” and the “Kick-Ass” films too. Until next time, take care and stay safe.

Podcast # 777 – “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” – 2006.21

This week on the podcast I cover all 7 season of the recently wrapped up animated series, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” First up, I chat about what I’ve been watching and doing lately – including trying to catalog my whole comic book collection of 8000 plus comics.

The Clone Wars was and is a great series and adds a lot to the “Star Wars” mythos and canon. I very much enjoyed it and it was fun going through it with all of you once again. Covering this makes me want to watch it all once again. I play season trailers and talk about the series, actors and more.

That’s about it for this week. Next weekend should be a guest cast hopefully. Be safe and take care until next time.

Podcast # 776 – SWRPG – Intro Mission – 2006.14

This week it’s kind of repeat show if you also listen to the “Star Wars Stacks” podcast too. Way back in late 2019 we recorded an intro adventure featuring our SWRPG characters through a mission run by Chris. On this show you will hear him, and Joe, Jen, Angela and me of course. It’s a fun show and if you didn’t hear it before, give it a listen.

I hope you all listened to and enjoyed last week’s different kind of show. I meant what I said and I hope you listen if you haven’t had time yet. Next weekend I’ll be back with a more “typical and normal” type of podcast. Until next time stay safe out there!

Podcast # 775 – Grab Bag of Thoughts – 2006.07

This week’s podcast is a bit different. With all that is going on in the world I wanted to address it in some way. I begin the show talking about how the comic industry is changing and also about the usual comments on what I’m watching lately. Then I move on to a more serious topic.

“Star Trek” taught me much over the years. And it certainly stressed that the color of your skin or how you look has nothing to do with how you should be treated and so on. The recent unrest and protests due to the death of George Floyd has made the words and hope of “Star Trek” even more meaningful. I play a couple of audio clips to illustrate this and comment as best I can about how I hope we can try to do better. I trust my audience will take this the way it’s intended and I’m certain the Trek fans will certainly understand.

Next week we should have a more regular show. Take care of yourselves and others until next time. Talk to you again soon.

Vidcast # 774 – Summer & Fall Movies – 2005.24

This week I do a slightly different version of my annual look at the upcoming summer movies which now will have some slipping into fall as well. I look at about 5-6 movies, talk about them and play the trailers too. I also review a couple recent collectibles I have gotten as well. It’s a fun show and it was cool to do a vidcast again after quite a break from those. Hope you all enjoy it.

Next week will probably be a guest cast or maybe even a repeat show. Until next time take care and stay safe and healthy.

Podcast # 773 – “The 27th Day” – 2005.17

This week Mark Daniels is back with another SF classic film. Here are some words from the man himself on his latest guest cast.

Hello Everybody!

I hope you all are safe and healthy!!! This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.  I’m back this week with another classic science fiction movie. It’s “The 27th Day”, from 1957.  It stars Gene Barry, Valerie French and George Voskovec.  It’s the story of five people who are taken aboard a flying saucer and given capsules that could kill all human life on the planet.  Sounds like a good start!  I hope you all enjoy it! I’ll be back soon with another classic science fiction movie…Until then…Everyone take care and stay healthy!!!

This is M-5 signing off…

Thanks Mark for another cool movie review. We also have Vartok this week with a look at some music from Brent Spiner. Thanks for that too!

Next weekend I’m planning to do a vidcast covering what movies we are getting later this year. Until then, take care and stay safe!

Podcast # 772 – Moms in Sci-Fi & Fantasy – 2005.10

Today for Mother’s Day I wanted to do a tribute show for all the moms out there showcasing great moms in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. I select about 6-7 moms and talk about them on the show. I also talk about some recent new times for the ‘Rico Cave’ and other things I’ve been up to during the continued quarantine situation most of us are in. Hope you enjoy the podcast.

Next week should be a guest cast. Until then, take care and stay safe out there.

Podcast # 771 – “Rick and Morty” – 2005.03

This week I take a look at the hilarious TV show, “Rick and Morty.” Of course, I first talk about what I’ve been doing to stay occupied given the still current lock down situation. Still building my Megabloks Enterprise and other things. Lots of fun!

“Rick & Morty” is a great show and I’ve enjoyed it for years. It’s fairly adult and raunchy at times but very, very funny too. Mad scientist Rick and his grandson Morty going on a ton of crazy adventures with mainly a Sci-Fi type of bent to them. I plays some clips and give some background on the series. Hope this intrigues you if you’ve never watched it.

Next week will probably be a guest cast. So, until next time take care and stay safe.
