Podcast # 681 – Avengers Infinity War, etc. – 1805.06

This week on the podcast my buddy Chris Clemente from the “Star Wars Stacks” podcast and me get together to dive deep into the “Avengers Infinity War” movie.  There are many spoilers for the film in the podcast, so don’t listen until you see the movie.  We also talk about what we are hoping for in the “Han Solo” film coming out soon and we talk a bit about “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 2 (some small spoilers for season one).  And, Chris also hits me with some Trek Trivial Pursuit too.  A real fun chat that is super nerdy, geeky and super fun!  Hope you all enjoy it!

Next week I will be back with a look at the 1960’s era “Batman” series and much more fun on Treks in Sci-Fi.  You can support the podcast HERE.  Until next time, take care and enjoy your week.

Podcast # 679 – “The Conscience of the King” – 1804.22

This week is a classic style podcast.  First, I talk some about my excitement for the next “Avengers” film coming out later this week.  I talk a little about what I’m watching on TV – including the cool new, “Lost in Space” series on Netflix.  Then on move on to this week’s main topic.

The episode from TOS called, “The Conscience of the King” is from season one of the series and I play the episode and offer commentary.  I’m actually reading a related Trek book right now that involves this story.  The book is called, “Drastic Measures” and that involves some of the Discovery characters too.  This TOS episode was not a big favorite of mine while growing up watching Trek reruns but I have come to appreciate it more these days.  It has some interesting and unique moments and I do enjoy a good Uhura song scene too.  Hope you enjoy my look at this episode for this week.

Next week Mark will be here with a look at the film, “Red Planet Mars.”  I will be back in two weeks.  You can support the podcast via Patreon HERE.

Until next time, take care and enjoy your week ahead.

Podcast # 678 – Aurora Repeat – 1804.15

This week on the podcast I repeat a show from way back in 2006 (#38 actually).  In this episode I play for you the second of my old audio adventures of the Starship Aurora that I did with my friends way back in high school.  These were scripts we wrote and acted out on audio tape with effects and music slipped in.  Due to the equipment and times we worked in the audio quality is not great, but these were a lot of fun to record and do with my friends.  This episode was #2 and is called, “Rage” where we all go a little nuts.  This post HERE will link you to all the old Aurora episodes.  Hope you enjoy this!

Next week I will be back with a look at the TOS episode, “The Conscience of the King.”  You can support the show on Patreon HERE.

Have a great week and take care until next time.

Podcast # 677 – Comics Chat – 1804.08

This week on the podcast I get together with my buddy Chris Clemente from the “Star Wars Stacks” podcast and we finally sit down for a long chat about comic books.  Both Chris and I love comic books, comic book films and everything in between.  We cover how we both got into reading comics, we talk about some of our favorite books, how comics have changed over the years and so on.  We also talk quite a bit about the breadth of comic books films over the years and what we think of them.  It’s a nice chat and we cover a lot of ground.  I hope you enjoy listening to what we have to say and big thanks to Chris for joining the show this week.

Next week will be a guest cast.  If you want to support the podcast go to Patreon HERE and donate monthly what you can.  Every little bit helps.  Until next time take care and enjoy your week ahead.

This week guest host Joe Mastroianni from the great gaming podcast called the Upper Memory Block Podcast (or UMB Cast) is sitting in for me as we do a little cross-promotion and let Joe tell you all about a game from 1992 called “The Lost Vikings.”  Joe does his usual fun and detailed job covering the games and it’s various incarnations.  Sit back and let Joe tell you all about this cool blast from the past in the world of gaming.  Also check out Joe’s podcast HERE and also his Patreon page HERE too.
